Texture of Time
36 x 48 inches
Oil on canvas, mesh overlay, wood frame
Featured in the Maven Art House, Chelsea NYC Exhibit.
This painting was created by painting the imprint of the light filtering through a tree outside of my Brooklyn art studio. It is part of a series about the “texture of time’ that invites you to stop and notice the light: how it shapes space, measures time, and defines color.
The beauty of this painting is that it changes with the light. When direct light hits it, mesh sunspots come alive on the surface of the painting.
